Wine wall with Standard Racking

The Wine Wall with Standard Racking models are assembled from insulated panels, which means they can be installed in almost any location.   Not only a flagship feature for any luxury location, the Wine Wall is also a heavyweight option for wine storage, with temperature control performed via the cooling unit, which is self-contained and requires no plumbing or drainage.

Dimensions

Depth: 710mm  (this cannot be changed)

Height: A minimum ceiling height of 2400mm is required to accommodate the cabinet (2000mm) and conditioning unit (400mm) that sits atop. 

Width: 2 columns = 1345mm  /  3 columns = 1695mm  /  4 columns = 2395mm

Bottle Capacity:  *Bottle capacity based on Bordeaux shape bottles. Other bottle formats may reduce the overall capacity.

Important to note, the shelving in the central column for the 3-column Wine Wall is fixed, as the sliding doors restrict the shelving from sliding out.  For ease of loading, 6 fixed shelves are provided with bottles stacked on top of each other.

Cooling Unit

The Smartcave cooling unit, responsible for temperature-control, is positioned centrally on top of the cabinet and vents through an opening in the cabinet's ceiling.  For cabinets equal to or greater than 3m in width, two cooling units are required to reach and maintain temperature.

The room where the Wine Wall will sit must be sufficiently ventilated to replace the heat expelled from the unit with fresh air.  The volume of air to replace is 150m3/hr for each cooling unit.

Shelving

The standard shelves accommodate Bordeaux style bottles.  For Champagne or thicker Burgundy bottles choose the either horizontal or display Champagne shelves.

Note that the display shelves take the vertical space of two horizontal shelves.

Standard horizontal shelf:   11 bottles lying horizontally

Champagne horizontal shelf:   9 bottles lying horizontally

Standard display shelf:   6 inclined bottles at the front with 9 stacked behind

Champagne display shelf:   5 inclined bottles at the front with 7 stacked behind

Delivery

Wine Walls are delivered flat packed in a large crate by our delivery team and installation team, before being assembled on site.  Once your Wine Wall is received into our centrally located warehouse, our delivery and installation service will contact you to check the delivery conditions and arrange a suitable day to deliver and install your cabinet.

Installation

We do not supply the cover panel that conceals the cooling equipment above the cabinet, you would need to engage a local carpenter or contractor to build and install this for you.  Customers often want this to match their surrounding wall finish or cabinetry.  A minimum of 1200cm² of ventilation must be included, either with a gap between the top of the cover panel and the ceiling or ventilation grilles in the cover panel.  The panel should be removable to allow for maintenance and repairs.  Wine Storage Solutions can assist your contractor with the design of this when required.

Delivery and installation will take place on the same day and should take no longer than half a day to complete. The floor where the Wine Wall will sit needs to be flat and level and there needs to be sufficient room for our assembly team to sit the base about 1m from the wall.  This is required to allow the team enough space to walk all around the cabinet and attach the side panels and top, before sliding it into its final resting place.  Important to note, assembly and placement in this fashion are not possible if the width of the room is equal to the width of the Wine Wall.  In such cases a smaller Wine Wall must be selected.
