Invest in Excellence

A perfect wine storage solution, the Vin Garde Pommard stands out as a dual-temperature energy-efficient wine cooler.  This beautifully presented cabinet is equipped with telescopic display and horizontal shelving, offering an overall capacity for 160 bottles*.  High-end wine coolers boast a sturdier construction compared to their more budget-friendly counterparts, ensuring an extremely good and superior storage provision.  Premium wine coolers use high-quality materials, including thicker sheet metal shelving, providing enhanced durability and quieter operation.

Bottle Capacity

The bottle capacity is based on Bordeaux-shaped bottles. Different marques may affect the capacity.

Full Shelves

Our Vin Garde Full Shelf offers exceptional adaptability to accommodate a variety of bottle shapes. It comfortably holds up to 11 Bordeaux-shaped bottles, 10 Burgundy bottles, or 10 Champagne bottles, providing exceptional flexibility. Each shelf front is in solid beech wood.   It's essential to note that some Champagne brands may feature thicker bottles that are not suitable for this shelf. In such instances, these bottles can be securely placed at the very bottom of the wine fridge for safekeeping. Alternatively, if you possess bottles with unique dimensions, you can easily remove one of the full shelves to create additional space, ensuring a custom-fit for your treasured wine collection.   Experience the versatility and tailored options of the Vin Garde Full Shelf, designed to cater to your specific wine storage requirements.

Built-in Cabinetry Guide

Optimal Installation for Pommard Wine Cabinets

When it comes to installing Vin Garde wine cabinets, proper placement and ventilation are crucial for optimal performance.  Here's some help on how to achieve both functionality and aesthetics.

Recess Dimensions

For Pommard models, the recommended dimensions of the recess are a minimum of W635 x D718* x H1900mm.  These dimensions allow the cabinet to sit comfortably away from the wall at the rear and a sufficient aperture above the cabinet, ensuring adequate ventilation for the unit. * Minimum depth requirement to allow at least a 30mm ventilation gap behind the cabinet.

Door Handles and Hinge Allowance

With Vin Garde cabinets, a minimum gap of 20mm is required on either side of the wine cabinet.  This allows you to grip the recessed handle on one side and for the door to swing unhindered on the other side.  These gaps either side of the wine cabinet can be filled with matching panels to your surrounding furniture but the edge of these panels must be sufficiently set back from the front of the wine cabinet to allow access to the recessed door handle and for the cabinet hinges to operate.  They should be set back level with the edge of the cabinet.  If multiple cabinets are being installed adjacent to each other, the same requirements apply, but where possible, between the cabinets, these infill panels do not need to be the full depth of the wine cabinets as the panels are for aesthetic purposes only and a more shallow panel will further assist ventilation.  Reduce the depth of the infill panels as much as is possible without risking strength and rigidity.

Wall or Furniture Aperture

To help achieve sufficient ventilation, it's essential to create an aperture above the cabinet, in the wall or surrounding furniture.  We recommend at least 100mm from the top of the cabinet.

Decorative Grille
In some cases, you can fit a decorative grille, however this may restrict ventilation in some instances.  A grille can serve the dual purpose of concealing the aperture and enhancing the overall aesthetics of the installation.  Please note that grilles are not included with the cabinet.  By incorporating these installation guidelines, you can improve the chances that your Volnay wine cabinet will ventilate adequately and also create an aesthetically pleasing and harmonious addition to your living space.
