Like every Espace, it's a modular, self-contained wine room supplied with racking, lighting and a cellar conditioning unit with heating and cooling, so it can be installed in any weatherproof location with a normal domestic supply.

Bottle Capacity
990 bottles based on Bordeaux shape bottles. Other bottle formats and additional shelving will reduce capacity.
Shelving
The shelves in the Espace can be used in either of two ways:
As a storage shelf for 44 bottles on 4 layers, stacked one above the other. The storage shelf should not be slid in and out, in case a bottle falls off onto the shelf below.
As a sliding shelf for one layer of bottles.
The Espace 900 is supplied with 23 shelves as standard, giving a capacity of 990 bottles. Some customers prefer to add more shelves, so that each shelf is used as a sliding shelf with only one layer of bottles. The Espace 900 can accommodate a maximum of 67 sliding shelves, giving a capacity of 737 bottles.
Other customers use a combination of the two, using some shelves as storage shelves to maximise bottle capacity and adding some extra shelves to use as sliding shelves for ease of access.
On entering the cellar, the racks are to the left and to the right, forming an aisle as you enter with ample room to slide the racks out.
Espace racks glide smoothly in and out on rollers and can be used in either of two ways – as a sliding rack for one layer of bottles or as a storage rack for up to 44 bottles on 4 layers. When used as a storage rack, the rack can be locked in position by sliding the mechanism at the rear of the shelf. Each rack has a front profile label holder to label the contents of each shelf.
Each Espace is supplied with a number of standard racks and extra racks can be supplied if required.

Delivery
Walk-in Wine Cellars are delivered flat-packed and assembled on-site (if you have chosen the installation option), all in one day. Delivery is normally 10-12 weeks from the date of order.
The Espace walk-in wine cellar can be easily installed in just a few hours. Only a screwdriver is required. We can supply an installation service if required.

Installation
There must be sufficient space in the room, where the Espace will be installed, for assembly and airflow. The room that the Espace sits in must be 3x the cubic volume of the Espace. You must have a minimum ceiling height of 2100mm to allow for the setup of an Espace walk-in wine cellar. If you take up the Wine Storage Solutions installation service, this will be done on the same day as delivery.
