Shipping & Delivery
This policy explains how and where we deliver, estimated lead times by product type, and the delivery options and charges that may apply. If you have any questions about delivery to your address, please contact us at info@winess.co.uk or +44 (0)1395 904829 before ordering.
1. Delivery area & charges
Our prices include free delivery to any mainland address in England & Wales, unless extra lifting measures are required. For delivery to any other location (including the excluded postcodes listed in section 5), please call +44 (0)1395 904829 or use our contact form so we can confirm price and timings before you order.
Delivery does not include fitting a cabinet into furniture or built-in joinery. If a third delivery operative or lifting equipment is required to complete your delivery, this will be chargeable — we will agree any such charge with you in advance.
2. Estimated lead times by product type
- Wine coolers / fridges (Vin-Garde) — in stock: free next-day delivery to most postcodes if your order is received before 10:30 a.m. Orders placed later are delivered the next working day or any day thereafter (excluding weekends and public holidays).
- Wine coolers / fridges — not in stock: delivery can be up to 12 weeks, depending on our ordering cycle with the manufacturer. Please contact us to check stock availability.
- Teca wine cabinets: made to order in Italy and delivered to the UK in approximately 4–6 weeks.
- Wine Walls & display cabinets: delivered flat-packed and assembled on site, normally within 12 weeks of order. For solid-oak Wine Walls, the cabinet is installed first and the racking fitted shortly afterwards by our carpenter.
- Wine Rooms: delivered flat-packed and assembled on site by our two-person team, normally within 5 weeks of order (solid-oak racking fitted at a later date).
- Walk-in (Espace) wine cellars: delivered flat-packed and, where you have chosen the installation option, assembled on-site in a day. Delivery is normally 5 weeks from date of order. An installation service is available on request.
All lead times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Once a made-to-order item arrives at our warehouse, we will contact you to finalise delivery arrangements.
3. Delivery & set-up of wine coolers
Our two-person delivery team will position your cabinet ready to switch on and remove the packaging. Please allow the cabinet to settle in place for 2 hours before switching it on — this protects the compressor after the cabinet has been moved.
4. Timed & specified delivery options
Where available, you can upgrade your delivery (not weekends or public holidays):
- Morning (a.m.) or afternoon (p.m.) slot on a specified day — supplement of £25.00 incl VAT.
- Timed delivery, within +/- 30 minutes of a specified time — supplement of £85.00.
These options are not available to some geographical areas (see section 5).
5. Excluded & surcharge postcodes
We are unable to offer our standard free next-day / timed delivery service to the following areas. For delivery to these postcodes, please contact us for price and delivery timings:
- Zone 6: AB, DD, DG, IV, PA28+, PH33
- Zone 7: BT, HS, PO30+, ZE, GY, IM, KW
6. Risk & inspection on delivery
Please inspect your delivery on arrival. If goods arrive damaged, note it with the delivery team where possible and contact us within 48 hours at info@winess.co.uk with photographs — see our Returns & Refunds policy for how we put this right.
7. Guarantee
All Vin-Garde products are supplied with a full two-year parts & labour guarantee.
