In such instances, these bottles can be securely placed at the very bottom of the wine fridge for safekeeping. It can accommodate various bottle shapes, holding up to 11 Bordeaux-shaped bottles, 10 Burgundy bottles, or 10 Champagne bottles. Due to the positioning of the compressor, the bottom shelf is a half shelf which holds 11 bottles (10 Burgundy or Champagne).

Vin Garde Wine Cooler Shelves

The base of the sliding shelf is metal, upon which a highly durable moulding is fitted to keep the bottles in place.  The front of the shelf is a very attractive beech wood.  By using a metal base, the shelf is extremely robust yet only 1mm thick, which enables more shelves to be fitted within the cabinet.  This increases the cabinet’s bottle capacity and allows more space on each shelf to accommodate different bottle sizes, please see the note below.

Full Shelves and Display Shelves can be fitted in the large and medium-sized models – Volnay, Pommard, Meursault and Beaune. These models are all equipped with a half shelf at the bottom, upon which 2 layers of bottles can be stored. The display shelf accommodates 14 bottles. On the rear of the shelf you place 5 bottles, then another 4 bottles on top of the 5, making 9 in total at the rear of the shelf. At the front you place 5 bottles at a display angle, so you can see the label. The angle of the bottle ensures that the cork remains covered, with the bubble being well down the shoulder of the bottle.

Volnay, Pommard, Meursault and Beaune models Full Shelf  

The Full Shelf has been designed to comfortably accommodate most bottle shapes. It will store 11 Bordeaux shaped bottles, 10 Burgundy bottles or 10 Champagne bottles. Please note that some Champagne marques have extremely thick bottles which will not fit on the full shelf.  To accommodate such bottles you can place them at the very bottom of the cabinet or remove one of the full shelves to create more headroom to fit the thicker bottle shape.

Delivery

FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY – For models held in stock*, we can arrange next day delivery to most postcodes if we receive your order before 10.30 a.m.  If received later in the day, delivery will be on the following day or any day thereafter (not weekends or public holidays). See the list below for those postcodes to which we are unable to offer this service.

Our two-man delivery team will set up your cabinet ready to switch on and remove the packaging. You can switch on the cabinet once it has settled in place for 2 hours (to protect the compressor after moving the cabinet).

Delivery does not include fitting the cabinet into furniture and if a third man or lifting equipment is required, this will be chargeable.

A.M OR P.M – You can specify an a.m or p.m delivery on a specific day at a supplement of £25.00 incl VAT (not weekends or public holidays)

TIMED DELIVERY – You can specify a specific time, within  +/- 30 minutes, at a supplement of £85.00 (not weekends or public holidays).
